Types of customizer integration
Two types of customizer integrations are available for you to choose from.
1. Customize button
This is the default integration. This integration replaces the “Add to cart” button with a “Customize” button on your product page. When clicked, the “Customize” button opens a lightbox containing the Kickflip customizer. Using this integration, you can have a normal product page that includes your product description, reviews, images, etc.
2. Customizer only
The integration is simply an element that displays the Customizer directly. The customizer loads as the page loads and displays the product you configured through the Kickflip CMS.
Removing or adding the Customize Button plugin
The "Customize Button plugin" is automatically added when installing the Kickflip app. This plugin is responsible for showing the "Customize" button for customizable products on the product page.
To remove or add the plugin, you need to be in the Wix Site Editor. You can go there by following these steps:
Login to your Wix admin.
From the home page of the site dashboard, click on "Edit Site".
From the editor, go to the product page by selecting it using the Pages menu from the editor's top bar.
Once on the product page, you can click and select the "Product page" section. The section usually have #productPage1 as ID.
A menu will open with the "Plugins" option, select this option.
A window will open with all the installed plugins and the installable plugins.
Removing
Within the "Installed Plugins" list, find "Customize Button". You will be able to remove it using the [...] button.
Adding
Find the "Customize Button" plugin in the "Get Plugins for Product Page" list. You can then click on the "Add" button.

Adding a customizer
You can add a Customizer on any page, move it anywhere you want, and style it, like any other element.
To add a Customizer:
Login to your Wix admin.
Open the Site editor. You can go there by clicking "Edit Site" from the home page of your Wix site.
Click on the "Add Elements" button located in the left menu.
Find the App Widgets section and click on the "Customizer" widget. An element will be added to the page. This element is used as a placeholder for the Customizer.
Product page
On the product page, the Kickflip app will auto-detect which product is shown and will display the matching customizer. It is recommended to include the Customizer within the product page. This way, the Customizer will be displayed for customizable products but hidden otherwise.
Lightbox
If a lightbox is opened from the product page using the Customize Button plugin, the Kickflip app will display the matching Customizer.
Other pages
If you add a Customizer on any other page, you have to manually enter the product ID using the Customizer settings.
You can get the product ID from the product URL of your Wix site dashboard. From the site dashboard:
Click the Catalog > Store Products > Products page option.
Once on the product list page, find the product you want to display and click on it. You will be redirected to this specific product page.
You can now use the URL to get the product ID. The URL will look like this:
https://manage.wix.com/dashboard/[site-id]/store/products/product/[product-id]
The product ID will be at the end of the URL, after the /product/ part. There might be additional info following a ? sign. In that case, ignore the ? sign and everything after it. The product ID should have the following format:
XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX
You can now add the product ID to the Customizer settings panel.
From the Site editor, click on the Customizer placeholder.
Select the Settings option.
A panel will open with a field to add the product ID.
Troubleshooting
There is no Kickflip widget, plugin or lightbox but the app is installed.
The app setup might not have been completed depending on where the app has been installed. To fix this issue, you can go to the Site editor and open the App Market panel. Once the panel is fully loaded, you can click on "Manage Apps" located at the bottom of the left menu. You should see the "Kickflip - Customize Products" app under the "Action required" section. Click on "Complete Setup" to complete the installation.
Elements on the product page for a non-customizable product are not clickable anymore.
This issue happens when the Customizer placeholder is over the product page section instead of under it. You can move it under using the Layers menu inside the site editor. The layers for the product page should look like this:
