Kickflip can automatically create variants under an existing Shopify product only when the Shopify product contains a single option structure. When a Shopify product contains multiple options (ex : Size and Color), Kickflip does not allow automatic variant creation directly within the app.

To create a Shopify variant correctly, Kickflip must map each Kickflip variant property to the corresponding Shopify option.

In this scenario, Kickflip cannot determine which Size value should be assigned to the newly created Shopify variants.

The reverse situation can also occur:

Kickflip would have more properties than Shopify can accept. To prevent incorrect inventory mappings, incomplete variants, or unexpected product configurations, automatic variant creation is disabled whenever the Shopify product contains multiple option groups that cannot be confidently matched to the Kickflip variant structure.

If your Shopify product contains multiple option groups, you can create the variants in Shopify first. If the variants do not already exist in Shopify, we recommend creating them directly in Shopify before linking them in Kickflip. This approach gives you full control over:

Once the new variants have been created and saved in Shopify:

Kickflip will automatically load the latest Shopify variants after the page refresh, allowing you to complete the linking process.
