FAQs
The option to add a new variant to a product is disabled in Shopify, why?
When a Shopify product contains multiple options (ex : Size and Color), Kickflip does not allow automatic variant creation. Refer to this article for more information.
Do I need to maintain pricing in my Shopify variants?
No. Pricing should be managed in Kickflip. The pricing configured in your Kickflip product always takes precedence over the prices configured on linked Shopify variants. As a result, Shopify variant prices do not need to be maintained and may differ from one another. Kickflip will always calculate and display the correct price based on your Kickflip product configuration.
Why is there an error when adding a product to the cart or proceeding to checkout?
This issue can occur if a product in the cart includes a Kickflip variant that's mapped to a Shopify variant that no longer exists (typically because the Shopify variant was deleted).
To prevent this issue from affecting future orders, open the product in Kickflip, go to Variants, and verify that all linked Shopify variants still exist. Update any broken mappings if needed.
Does your sync feature support more than one store?
Yes we support multi-store setups for Shopify. Every "Variants" tab page for Kickflip products features a drop-down selector on the top right of the table to select the desired store that you want to link. Note that you will need to setup once for each stores since they have different products and inventory.
How will my checkout page look once I link multiple variants across different products?
At checkout, customers will see the base custom product with its customization details, along with each connected variant. For example, if a customer customizes a pair of glasses and selects a lens option linked to a Shopify variant, the checkout will display both the customized glasses and the linked lens product. If a product image is associated with a variant, that image will also appear alongside the variant in the cart and checkout.
How does variant information appear in the order summary?
Variants appear below the product, and if a SKU is configured for that variant, it's displayed within it (ex in the screenshot, the SKU is: "3456").
