This setup configures how customized products appear inside your side cart, including the product image and customizer answers.
Follow these steps:
Get into the theme editor inside your online store and select the "app embed" on the left.
Validate that the Kickflip app embed is "on" (slide button) and open the "Customizer" section. It should be shown like the image below.
Deactivate the Shopify inspector
Add a customized product to your cart
Ensure that you navigate to your desired product template (commonly "default template" if you did not setup another one) and add a product with the help of the Kickflip customizer that you created.
Activate the advanced cart option
Click on the "use advanced mode" under the "Cart advanced settings".
Open the side cart and select the the kickflip helper
Select the zone where your products are listed
Be sure to add customizable products first.
The kickflip helper will copy automatically the code from the appropriate zone.
Paste the code in the proper zone
If you only allow a side cart in your theme, add it to "Main cart container".
"Other cart container selectors" is used if you both allow a web page for your cart and a side cart.
The side cart should show your customized product with an image and answers
Tip : Allow the theme editor to refresh before re-opening the cart
Tip : Sometimes you must try to hover a couple of different zones in your cart before getting the right one
NOTE
At the moment, Kickflip’s native behavior redirects customers to the cart page when adding a customized product to the cart. Support for automatic side cart opening is currently under development.
