Applies to: Kickflip inventory (Kickflip only setting), all e-commerce platforms.
With Kickflip inventory, you set stock in Kickflip. Kickflip reserves stock when orders come in and blocks out-of-stock choices in your customizer.
Before you start
Create variants for the items you want to track. See Create variants to track stock.
In Inventory > Inventory settings, make sure Kickflip only is selected.
Set your stock
Your variants appear on the Inventory page.
One variant: edit its stock directly in its row.
Several variants: select them with the checkboxes, then use the bulk action to edit their stock together.
Understand the 3 quantities
Quantity | What it means |
Committed | Reserved by orders that are not fulfilled yet |
Available | What you can still sell |
Total | All the stock you have: Committed + Available |
When Available reaches 0, the variant shows as out of stock in your customizer and customers can't buy it. See What customers see when an item is out of stock.
Share stock between variants
Some variants use the same physical item. Give them the same SKU and they share one stock count.
Example: you sell several water bottles, and every bottle uses the same cap. Give the cap variant in each product the same SKU. A cap sold on any bottle lowers the shared count.
Update stock from another system
If your stock lives in an ERP or a warehouse tool, push it to Kickflip with our API.
Other inventory apps
Kickflip inventory doesn't connect directly to third-party inventory apps. Your options:
On Shopify: use Shopify inventory sync. Any app that updates your Shopify stock then covers your custom products too. See Set up Shopify inventory sync.
On other e-commerce platforms: use our API.
